Newton Kart Klub Points System

If you do not take a green flag you do not get any points. However, if you do take a green flag and pull out prior to completion of the race you will be scored after those that finish the race. If more than one kart pulls out of the race before the race is over, the karts will be scored in order of their laps completed.

Heat Races (1 and 2)

1^st – 12 points

2^nd – 11 points

3^rd – 10 points

4^th – 9 points

5^th – 8 points

6^th – 7 points

7^th – 6 points

8^th – 5 points

9^th – 4 points

10^th – 3 points

11^th – 2 points

12^th – 1 point

13^th and up 0 points

Mains

1^st – 30 points

2^nd – 29 points

3^rd – 28 points

4^th – 27 points

5^th – 26 points

6^th – 25 points

7^th – 24 points

8^th – 23 points

9^th –22 points

10^th – 21 points

11^th – 20 points

12^th – 19 point

*Points go down one for each additional place

If two or more racers have the same number of points from heat one and heat two, then we decide the starting order for the main by which driver drew the lowest number.

Example:

Driver 28 drew a lower # than driver 71 therefore #28 will start before #71.
