NEWTON KART KLUB - PUTT-PUTT RULES

The putt-putt class is an introductory, fun class for 5-7 year olds and first year 8 year olds.
IT IS NOT A COMPETITION CLASS, IT IS A LEARNING CLASS

The Rookie Karts (Kid Kart and Putt Putt) will remain a $20 entry with first place trophies to all competitors.

PARENTAL ATTITUDE IS IMPORTANT – Let’s remember these kids are learning & let’s keep it fun for everyone

1. Blueprinted Briggs and Stratton stock 5hp engine
2. Methanol fuel – no additives
3. Chassis specifications must meet NKK rules
4. Any clutch - 15 tooth driver only-no smaller than 55 tooth rear sprocket
5. Any tire 36” rollout max
6. Safety equipment same as other classes – refer to track rules – chest protectors mandatory
7. All track rules apply
8. No signaling of any kind to drivers while racing
9. All karts will weigh at scales after each race engines must be shut off before pulling on scales
10. No hoods or fairing or any body work that obstructs driver’s view
11. No tachs or gauges visible by driver
12. No tape on engines
13. Parents and drivers must follow all rules or will not be allowed to race

THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION CLASS AND SAFETY IS OUR MAIN CONCERN

Newton kart klub reserves the right to change restrictor plate sizes, gearing or add a throttle stop at any time to slow individual karts down and keep competitors speed as close as possible

Each competitor will be asked to fill out a drivers profile sheet (available at sign up window).This will give the announcer as much info as possible about each child

Penalty for cheating is $200.00 for first offense - 2nd offense gone for balance of year

All races will line up on back straightaway and slowly roll around in formation to take green flag on front straightaway at flag stand

NKK reserves the right to inspect any competitor’s equipment at any time

Tire prepping or doping is not allowed in putt-putt or kid kart classes
